„Szaryzacja” to neologizm, który uosabia proces przekształcania żywych, kolorowych przestrzeni miejskich w jednolite, monochromatyczne aglomeracje. To słowo odnosi się zarówno do dominującej palety barw w nowoczesnej architekturze, ale również do zanikającego życia społecznego, które ustępuje miejsca anonimowości i izolacji. 

Prezentowane prace graficzne zostały stworzone w oparciu o fotografie autentycznych budynków, które niedawno uzupełniły panoramę Warszawy. Cykl ma na celu zwrócenie uwagi na negatywne skutki nadmiernej urbanizacji, takie jak wszechobecny hałas, zagłuszający myśli i rozmowy, oraz brak dostatecznej ilości zieleni i miejsc, które umożliwiają odpoczynek. Każdy metr kwadratowy staje się cenny, a przestrzeń do życia coraz bardziej ograniczona. Prace te są wizualnym protestem przeciwko zatracaniu ludzkiej skali w architekturze i planowaniu przestrzennym. Są one wyrazem poszukiwania równowagi między potrzebą rozwoju a zachowaniem unikalnego charakteru i ducha miejsca. Zachęcają do refleksji nad wpływem otaczającej przestrzeni na jakość życia, samopoczucie i relacje międzyludzkie. Jest to przestrzeń do dialogu o przyszłości miejsc w których żyjemy, oraz o odpowiedzialności, jaką ponosimy za kształtowanie naszego środowiska. Jest to wezwanie do poszukiwania harmonii między nowoczesnością a tradycją, między innowacją a konserwatywnością.

„Grayification” is a neologism that embodies the process of transforming vibrant, colorful urban spaces into uniform, monochromatic agglomerations. This word refers both to the dominant color palette in modern architecture, but also to the disappearing social life that gives way to anonymity and isolation.

The presented graphic works were created based on photographs of authentic buildings that have recently complemented the panorama of Warsaw. The series aims to draw attention to the negative effects of excessive urbanization, such as the ubiquitous noise that drowns out thoughts and conversations, and the lack of sufficient greenery and places to rest. Every square meter becomes precious and living space becomes more and more limited. These works are a visual protest against the loss of human scale in architecture and spatial planning. They are an expression of the search for balance between the need for development and maintaining the unique character and spirit of the place. They encourage reflection on the impact of the surrounding space on the quality of life, well-being and interpersonal relationships. It is a space for dialogue about the future of the places we live in and the responsibility we bear for shaping our environment. It is a call to seek harmony between modernity and tradition, between innovation and conservatism.
